Happy New Year 2007

Time flies when you’re having fun and I haven’t updated my blog for ages. Here’s a picture of me to start the year off with. That’s as smart as you’re likely to see me in 2007.

Other recent events have included:

The Hyde Park fun fair. There was a bit of a mix-up over the dates for the charity night and we ended up turning up when it was closed. After swapping some emails the organisers (who hadn’t put the correct information on their website) allowed us to go back for free on a different day. It was freezing cold but we got to go on all the rides we wanted to go on. We kept our end of the deal so that the Starlight Children’s charity who should have got our money on the charity night ended up happy, too.

Iron Maiden at Earls Court. Clearly IM are very proud of their most recent album as they played through it live from start to finish. Personally I’d have rather they had skipped quite a few of the tracks and played some old favourites instead. I like the new album, but it does go on just a bit too long. They saved the day with their final crowd-pleasing closing numbers, and their enormous Eddie mascot appearing in a stage-sized army tank.

Christmas. Seems to be popular this time of year. I spent my Christmas with my parents, who I hadn’t seen for a while. This also allowed me a week off going to the gym, which I am making up for this week.
