Running
Running goes very nicely with last week’s “Skating” post. Although it is a bit of a cheat, given that it wasn’t actually me doing the Running.
I took this picture at the Nike 10k Run London run in Victoria Park. I was there helping Darren with the logistical side of his run. ie carrying his bag for him whilst the race was on.
I find that running isn’t an especially involving spectator event, although this event had an impressive turn out of runners, all wearing matching red race shirts. The picture shows only a tiny fraction of the total number of people running. In fact over 35,000 people ran spread into separate waves in three of London’s major parks.
If you know Darren’s surname, you’ll be able to watch him cross the finish line on this neat video taken by the race organisers here. I wasn’t fast enough to catch him with my own camera.
